PRODUCT / COLLABORATION

Useful capabilities do not always find each other

Blinkr explores a simple idea. People often have skills or resources, but need the right partners to put them to work.

A problem worth connecting

One person has a workshop and tools. Another knows how to repair bicycles. A third can manage bookings and customer communication. Together, they could start a local bicycle repair service. This hypothetical example explains the question behind the product.

I work on product strategy and the software that turns the idea into practical workflows. The project is in ongoing development.

What could they build together?

The project, step by step

Stages describe the work, rather than promising a fixed release timetable.

  1. 01

    Identifying the problem

People can have valuable capabilities without the complete combination needed to pursue an opportunity.

  2. 02

    Developing the concept

Explore connections between complementary skills, experience, and resources, rather than only professional job titles.

  3. 03

    Defining the first audience

Newcomers and experienced older professionals are intended initial groups. The Netherlands is an intended first market.

  4. 04

    Designing the product

Turn the idea into profiles, skills, resources, requests, categories, collaboration opportunities, and discovery workflows.

  5. 05

    Building the MVP

Develop the backend with Python, Django, Django REST Framework, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and JWT authentication. Wagtail supports content functionality.

  6. 06

    Working on infrastructure

Develop deployment and testing workflows. The project includes work on moving hosting and migrating from MySQL to PostgreSQL.
